Why cant networks keep things simple. I have an Orange pre pay on line sim but i found out the other day it was not a 3G sim. So i called Orange and they said you would have to go into a shop call us up and activate a new 3G sim. Fair enough i thought. I go into Orange shop in Bull Ring Birmingham and the woman says no we cant do that here you would have to have a new number if you go 3G or upgrade your phone. I said thats not what Orange help desk said. I wanted to buy a new 3G sim and move my existing number to it. I knew that its possible to do it but they said no. In the end i won and the PHONE TRAINER looked silly. Do they train these people i knew more than she did. If the networks want us to use these services and make money they should make things a little easier. I am now enjoying Orange 3G. I do love Orange but not shop staff they are clueless.

Ah alright Fatreg how ya doing. I wonder why you left Orange retail? I am one of those people(not to brag) who knows all about the mobile industry and how it works and the technology so if i had a job in a mobile shop i would be manager by now. Maybe. One of the phone trainers an asian woman had a t shirt on saying ASK ME ABOUT PAY AS YOU GO. But for some reason she walked away from me when i asked a question. I noticed as soon as you ask a complicated question they avoid you. Its no way near as bad as Phones 4 U. They hound you so bad for a contract its like being taken hostage. Its not all bad i know. But something that i know you can do that can easily be done and they say NO. I mean i have an Orange account with a 3G phone and they say the only way i can enjoy it is upgrade my phone or have a new number. Sigh.
