> T39m Infamous *No Network*
Bookmark topic
Ok , I have a problem here that seems to have been hunting many many many people . My T39m woke up one day and told me "No Network" . I know that there are many posts in the forum concerning this, but believe me , the search procedure TAKES forever .
The major difference from other T39m (No Network Issues) is that I have had the phone for over 1 year now and it never showed any type of malfunction neither in hardware nor software (except from some minor hangs of the system) .
I dont know how to check the software revision of it . But even if it was the software , shouldnt this problem show itself from the very beginning ? I havent made the slightest upgrade on it .
I checked the antenna, replaced it , etc...etc....sims .....etc...etc..
But nothing.....Once in a while the phone will grab a network provider but only for a few min ... Pls Help
P.S : Is there any chance I could manually upgrade the software (if thats the problem) using a data cable ? Any software for this job ?
Thanks In Advance

the "no network" issue is hardware related... a circuit needs to be replaced in order to get it up and running again... however... most servicepoints gives you a replacement unit instead since they aren't allowed by
to change the faulty circuit.

Thanks for the quick reply ! I have already spoken with ericsson about this and they ask 90E for a replacement unit in case they cant repair it (for which they ask for 45E) since the phone is out of warranty . I guess I'll go for a replacement :/

Well guess what , ericsson asks for 170E to give a replacement unit . I might as well buy a new phone .
Is there any chance I can repair the faulty circuit by my self ?

OK , that sounds promising . But can the circuit be found on the market or is it only available from Ericsson ?

no... it's only available to those HVC's (High Volume Centers) that are allowed to change it...

Ok , so there is no chance of repairing it . Since Ericsson refuses to repair it and offers only a replacement I can do nothing
Greece sucks as always....
Thanks for your time

not just in Greece that
has this policy... if you had bring it to a servicepoint here in Sweden you would probably have gotten the same thing... if you didn't go to the only servicepoint in Sweden that does this kind of repairs...
