I love it. i am a big fan of p series since p900 and now with the grace of God ihad the opportunity to purchase a p990i last night. So far, love it. Updated it to the latest firmware and havent done much else. Some questions:
- Why is the music volume so low? I turn it to max and it is no where comparable to the nice volume loudness of my p910a. Any ideas? or fix?
-I dont like the fact there is no 2.5mm jack or 3.5mm because i use my phone as a primary music player while im walking on campus and while driving. is there a adapter i can get that converts the connector?
-How do i upload themes?
-At our university, we use VPN to be able to access the internet on our laptops. How can i setup VPN on my p990 so i can surf the web w/ wifi? =)
- And lastly, what are good programs/games to check out?
i need a good AOL IM chatting software, whats good?
-I am using this on a T-Mobile USA network, does that mean i am surfing using edge? it seems like im using gprs.. how can i doublecheck?

pretty much the same as the p910. use the pc suite file manager and drag the file to the p990 icon, then on the phone find the file you dragged and click it

in your try and buy there is a vpn client I think, otherwise go
here

P990 doesn't support EDGE so it'll be GPRS unless t-mobile have 3g capability as well

about the 3.5mm jack u might want to get yourself an hpm-70..there is a 3.5mm jack in it and you can connect either your earphones or a decent 2.1 ch speaker..

i can get that converts the connector?
On my P990 the loudness is the same as on previous P910 if not better. Try different settings (I use megabas or loudness).

I use SE walkman headphone jack. One end goes into P990 and on other end you can stick any regular headphones.

thats pretty gay to know that se has skipped on edge for this phone... im having mild opinions about this phone... i am going to try it out for a month and see where this goes...

AND you can change the top, left and bottom icons to your desire.
The center and right icons are nit changeable though.
ONLY in Flip Closed (FC) mode.
