I just dropped my phone on the floor and checked if its okay. And it was,but I noticed that when I opened my camera the lens was total black. I tried driopping it again and the same.
New tip, drop your phone to protect your lens but more chance of your phoje breaking

I suspect the camera lens shutter's microswitch has been snapped, will need replacing I'm afraid!

Glass lens is a crystal... So when it experiences stress, force... The crystalline structure changes and what was transparent, becomes opaque... black...

No I mean the first time you get the phone. You open the camera and there is something black coming in the way, that's the cover lens you get on digi cameras. Its not broken

you mean the internal shutter is permanently shut? probably a loose connection inside the phone itself, requires complete dissassembly (pretty tricky)
you gotta watch you don't break the camera connection when fixing these, as its very fragile!

I know what you mean, I've got a couple a faulty K800is here, they both are showing this too as their cam switches are faulty. It looks like a protective black cover that's underneath the lens glass.

NO it's not. Don't you get it, when you first get the phone you see a black plate and it goes away, same what happened here.
How clear can I make this?

Calm down, no need to get hostile! Is it the actual sliding lens cover itself then?
Don't shout at me if it isn't!

Ik got it too a few months ago, but I restarted my phone and the internal shutter was gone and my camera works fine.
