I just got a use W850I with no instruction. My question is how do end a call by just closing the phone? Everytime i want to end a call I have to press the "end call" button, that is really bugging right now. Please help me out. I'm a NOOB so have mercy on me =)

You can head to sonyericsson.com and pick the UK region site. Then go to the support site and punch in the w850i and you can get the manual there for download.
To answer your question, to end a call, for mine, I do need to hit the end button to end the call. Open to answer is the only thing the slider does. I found this out because I sometimes use the speakerphone function and I slide the front face down again to give it a smaller profile so I can set it down somewhere.
