> Forum like esato for VAIO?
Bookmark topic
This forum rocks for anything I need to do to/for my SE. Can someone hook up a link to a similar forum for notebook computers? More specifically, Sony Vaio notebooks? I need to replace a hard disk, probably, on one. Here's a shout to other forums like this:
Afterdawn.com (dvd back-up forum, and most things plasticy and disc-ish) I learned about excellent dvd burners here.
audiworld.com (all of 'em, essentially)
broncotech.com (78-79 bronco mainly, also 73-79 truck and associated motors)
Thanks,
chris
p.s. Is there already some kind of list for such things?

Or you could simply visit the sony homepage. I'm sure they have a forum for their products such as your.

Thanks for the effort Tranced, seriously. I could visit the sony homepage, again. That seems to me like visiting the SE page hoping to find Esato, no? It's like when I go to Cingular website trying to solve problems with my w810: futile (unless strictly lame cingular f/w problems). Sorry, but when I input my model # at Sony website, it said "you have XXXXXX model", which was different than the model I actually have. I'd like something much more helpful than the manufacturer's website, that's why I said "like esato" instead of "like SE website." This place is INFINITELY better than SE website, unless you just want specs.
"I think you can still post this specific problem downstairs."...? i don't know what that means. am I too much of a "newb?" or is it "noob?" This doesn't seem like an attempt at help, more like a "WTF are you doing here, rookie?"
I'm just looking for some legitimate help from some people that obviously don't think that manufacturer's websites are that helpful (why else is this place here?)
Please someone point me in the right direction. If you need to know anything about 78-79 Broncos, ANY audi, or DVD burning, I hooked you up. I was halfway hoping that it would turn into a good thread for links to HELPFUL technical websites. I just don't want to spend hours scouring the google results, which will eventually lead somewhere good, but ...hours.
thanks, i hope

i suppose that here is where this thread belongs, and I figured it'd get moved eventually. I was just hoping to get more exposure, and therefore a better chance at help, in the General forum. I assume that forum has the most traffic. It appears that now this thread has been sent to the forum where threads go to die. Does anyone browse this forum? I never have. Hopefully, i'm dead wrong about this, but I still haven't been recommended a VAIO forum, so....
I know that someone here knows one, I guess that I just need to be a little more patient. So i wait....
Thanks to anyone who actually provides some useful information.
i need to cheer up, it's friday!

I take it your USING a VAIO right?
I use a VAIO Desktop and when I first got it, the default homepage was Club VAIO - which it still is. However, I think it's only for the UK - that's why you may not have it.
Here's the link:
http://club.vaio.sony.co.uk/clubvaio/gb/en/home
And luckily they have a forum too!
http://club.vaio.sony.co.uk/clubvaio/GB/en/forum/index
Hope that helps
