Should we charge the battery to its max in the very first recharge?

yes, its recommended. the best way is to darin the batt at first usage and then charge full. later u can charge the batt whenever u just want to, but it takes time to get the best out of your batt, after several charging circles. i would suggest to charge your batt when u fone is in off mode.

i read something of a little trick;
when a battery is dead/low, you could put it in a fridge for a while.
take it out, let it get back to roomtemperature, and it's lifetime is much extended.
however it's not recommended in your manual, and proble is bad to the battery. but it worked out with a bl3c battery (nokia 3310) as i found out myself.

correct... When I charge a battery in cold then use in heat, it gives 10 to 15% more time...
