Hi guys can anyone point me in the direction of some software to unlock my Tmobile Mda Compact 2, and also debrand any help would be greatly apreciated thanks

T-Mobile will give you the unlock code plus the step-by-step instructions if you have an account in good standing for at least 6 months. I just unlocked a Blackberry Pearl and it was no fuss, no muss. I emailed TMo support and 2 days later I got the code in an email. Simple. Tell them that you want to travel to the U.K. and Italy and want to use a local pre-paid SIM card while on your trip.
As far as unbranding, all my experience is with DaVinci Team and SonyEricsson phones. There's a .cab file floating around that simulates generic firmware, changing the splash screens, etc, to generic looks. Plus it's free.

Not to sure on unbranding as although the generic version of the MDA Compact II is a HTC Charmer i am not sure if a ROM was ever released....
