Can someone please confirm if this is correct, I have MMS on my o2 68i and it works fine, only enabled today however I thought if you had GPRS a little bar appeared over the signal strength is that correct? Does it mean if I have MMS enabled I also have GPRS?
If thats the case can I use the WAP facility and not pay anything til Jan because I would enter WAP via MMS service which is free via o2 til Jan. If thats correct do I have to change any settings on my phone, thanks in advance for any help.

Mms enabled phones send mms through gprs. So if u have mms u also have gprs. And even if ur gprs is free it doesnt automatclly mean that mms is free. Ur provider may charge u for sending mms.

thanks for the reply, at the moment o2 are doing a promotion that all mms msgs are free til 31st of jan, so I was thinking that maybe there could be a way that I could access wap via the MMS settings and I'd get access free, does that sound correct to anyone?
thanks

gadgetboy, how do you do it, do you go into wap, select profile and then o2 MMS, or is more complexed, also is it definatley free, I have a sim with 500 mins off peak that I can use on wap but I have to wait til after 19.00hrs to use it, thsi would be great for me don't want to use it then realise I've racked up a huge bill, any help to confirm it works and it's free woudl be great, just seesm too easy I suppose. Don't want to ring o2 either just in case your not suppose to do that and they stop it.
Thanks

just one more thing, i have MMS so I must have GPRS right, but there are no bars over the signal strength to say it's enabled, I've sent MMS msgs to myself so I know it works fine.

It is as easy as setting the profile to o2 mms.
I am not 100% sure it's free though as the sp knows the difference between an mms and wap cause they will be charging on a per message basis, so it can't be on data use.
I have switched back to gsm for wap just in case as i have 02 200 (all day free minutes)
