I phoned up 3 last week with my PAC code and arranged to transfer my old o2 number to my new 3 contract. They said the transfer would take place today (Monday 9th April), however so far it has not happened! Ive turned both phones on and off a couple of times so far today, but it dosnt look promising.
Will it happen later tonight perhaps? after office hours?
Is the system automatic (hence will it definitely happen today?)
What happens if it dosnt happen today? Will it be late? Tomorrow?
Or will I have to phone up again and repeat the whole process!?

When you port a number to/from Vodafone they say it can happen any time before six so give it another 25mins (it's 17:35 currently) it might be the same case with 3. If it doesn't happen give them a call.

will the fact it is EASTER MONDAY have a say on whether it happens or not, tbh I cant afford to wait another week to get the number transfered, but I know that that is exactly what I am going to have to do.
Just have a feeling on this one.

your number is unlikely to be ported today because its a bank holiday, you should expect your number to be ported tommorow, however i would call up 3 if i was you, to get confirmation.

In my experience it has always just been a matter of time but still there no harm in ringing up after 6.

I gave them it last saturday morning. And they told me it would be today, I think the office is in India so perhaps they overlooked the fact it might be a public holiday. If it does not happen by tomorrow then I will phone them up.
Thanks guys.

so it takes a full 6 days to transfer? IE the 6th working day after you called?
Why wont it happen tomorrow? assuming it should have happened today, but didnt since it was a holiday, not because it had only been 4 days.
