I bought a k800i today and it will not connect with cingular , it just shows up emergency calls only . Is there any way to fix this

Ok that doesnt help me at all . I have service with my other phone that came directly from cingular without a hitch i mean full service too at that , but this one just says emergency calls no matter what . I know there are towers around her they just put one up about 6 months ago . Is there anything i can download to put on this phone so i can use my network ??
