> HELP! (P990 won't pay music files)

Ppl....i am in a lotta trouble so pls help....i bought this P990 a month ago....as usual it had the hanging problem...but tht dint bug me much..recently i bought a 2GB Magic Gate memory stick for my P990...now when i put videos and music in it it doesnt play most of them....i converted 7-8 vids using M3 in the Mp4 format for P990 and i know they work but whne i put them on my memory stick it doesnt play them sayin that it cant play it....now lemme clarify that it does play some videos and doesnt play some....n everytime itz different vids which it doesnt play...for eg if once it doesnt play a specific vid the next time i copy it it would play tht vid...
As far as the music is concerned IT DOESNT PLAY ANY MUSIC FILES AT ALL! i have uploaded so many mp3s but it doesnt play them! Now i have changed the memory card and replaced it with a new one again a 2GB MagicGate......also last night i upgraded my firmware as i thot it wz a firmware issue...but still itz the same...(my phone has gotten v fast though)......Is it a memory stick related problem or some problem wid the fact tht P990 cannot read a 2GB memory card well enough? Shall i go ahead n buy a 1GB instead coz i have already changed 2GB once....OR shall i try 2 copy files individually? coz i copy whole folders...or 20-30 in one go...does that make a differenc? please someone temme how to tackle this issue......or is it the fact tht P990 only works well with original sony memory stick and not magicgate?
Reply soon ppl.....as i hv 2 make a decision in a few hrs...after wich the memory cad wont b taken back..!

The reason i posted is cause u shouldnt start a topic with HELP! you have to try to kind of describe your problem, it says something about this above when u post new threads. I have done this before, but i have learnt the error of my ways, change the title and p990i experts will flock to your thread (hyperthetically)

Hi,i maybe cuzed by one or both of these reasons:
1-the memory card is not original!
2-the phone needs to be updated!
NOTE:
When i bought my p990 i bought for it a 1GB MS but i didn't know it was not original and many video problems occured,so i returned it and bought the original one and i saw the differences and it is 5 years warranty.
