It wont do YouTube because its only Flash 7, you need 8 or 9. Theres nothing special about it to be honest, it now supports drag and scroll which is iphone like scrolling but its only at one speed, which is slow.

good to know - thanks! The naughty guys: did you see the operblog etc: they advertise it specifically "youtube"-ish... Well, I'm new to windows mobile... Could've fooled me! Of course I'll try it anyway - don't care much for mobile IE... Or maybe just not used to it yet...
Thanks

@londonlad : GLAD I tried it anyway: IT DOES support youtube very much, dude just 5 minutes ago I tried it on treo 750v - maybe you were thinking of another version: it's for windows mobile 5, 8.65 BETA - has only been out a bit over a week! Best is it's streaming while I sit here and I've no 3g signal!!! Treo + opera + youtube how exciting!!! My e61 is now scared for its life/carreer!

It says 8.65 and I got it about 2-3 weeks ago. I get error an error saying flash is either out of date or javascript is off but I havent turned it off. I found one blog where it worked but Im guessing they are using Flash 7. The problem is youTube website uses the latest.

Is your youtube working on the youtube website?

EDIT

Post the link that worked for you, I'll try it.

O.K. - it's a treo 750v (wm 5), operamini 8.65Beta for windows mobile (as far as I know THAT's only been released 8 or 9 days ago - free until june 1st)... I had already installed flash 7 when I stumbled upon that opera beta... after our chat, I installed opera and just typed youtube.com and hit the link for the first video listed (wasn't expecting it to work anyways, so I wasn't choosey)... after about 20 secs it started playing - NOW I HAVE TO ADD - I nearly gave up because I don't get this typical youtube-player-thingy displayed... it just looks like an image, but than it keeps loading and, bang: clip starts to run... so no particular link, just the first clip available (have watched a few by now thought)... or did you mean the opera link? just google: "opera mobile 8.65 beta"??? now before I had opera mobile 8.2, I think, on the treo and with flash 7 installed youtube didn't work!!!

Ah, so theres more than one version of 8.65,, that must be it, thanks I'll give it a go. btw, the best browser in my opinion is still PIE plus, which ahs much more settings and iphone like scrolling with different sensitivity possible too. its a plugin for the built in ie. Give it a try.
