best one i use for my site is through a company called streamline.net.

They charge £44.99 for a years hosting and that includes a free .co.uk domain name and UNLIMITED Webspace and UNMETERED Bandwidth!!!

If they cant host ur site due to excess bandwidth usage or webspace they will refund u the whole years money back!!!

I've been using them for about 3mths and have never had a problem whatsoever!!!

i also use streamline.net.

there is two downsides that i've seen..

you cant just have a dir you have to have a web page

also there is no spamfilter thrown in...

other than that it's brill..

been with em nearly 2 years now.

as for cheapest.. free is the cheapest you can get but ads galore.

@tyse

Look around for templates for web pages, that will get you started, and they are free. You can then adapt them how you like to some extent.

Virgin.net offer I think 10mb of space for free, again it will get you stared. I'm sure your service provider will also give you some space, for example BT have about 10mb, depending on your agreement?

Can't see the point in spending silly money out if you are just starting out, try to do everything simple and for free to start you off.
