Well its that deaded time of year again when i am due an upgrade and i am really struggling to find a phone thats main feature isnt an MP3 player.

I really want to stay with SE but barring the K800 all the other phone are mp3 player orientated and its just what i want or need and i am really trying to avoid going for a nokia after my experiences with the N70.

I think the MP3 player feature is useful and i can see why they are pushing it but its not for everyone and it would be nice if they did a few other phones like the K800 for people who dont need it.

Oh well, old school K800 it is for me then.

So what if a phone is MP3 oriented? Its not like its shouting it loud all the time. Dont use it if you dont need it

Perhaps go for an 'all-rounder' like the W610i with the AF camera, or it's Cyber-Shot counterpart the K550i. Or maybe the P990i, though it is a bit bulky?

Both the K800i and W850i are very good all rounder phones also, though the camera on the W850i is a non-AF one.

There's always the W810i also!

Because if the main feature of the phone is the MP3 Player then not only is it plastered all over the phone but all the shortcut buttons are set up for it and the other features are standard as they wont have inmproved the camera etc

Well if you're going SE then it will have either cybershot or W plastered all over it. Nokia has improved quite a lot after N70, dont judge them by one phone.

The K810 isnt on my list of options yet and probably wont be for a while knowing T-mobile and id love to wait for the K850 but i need a phone now as the one im using is about dead.

Im tempted to check the N73 out but the N95 is ugly.
My main issues with the N70 was the speed, it was a great phone with plenty of good features but it just took too long to use and to do anything on it

@J J

The N70 was very slow especially compared to the N73 S60 3rd Edition is much much faster go to any phone shop and you will see.

What about a K610i, the dark red one. It looks sweet! 3G, no walkman branding..
