Thought I'd make this thread about the bugs for the new firmware so that:
1) SE people can look at one place (if they're looking) to find anything that needs improvement
2) We can determine if it is actually a bug (if everyone gets the same weird thing) or is it a reflash that we need
I've discovered 2 so far, the first one was discovered when someone wrote in the new fw thread that the keyboard didn't work for opera in landscape view, I was under the impression he was referring to the hardware qwerty which I didn't have a problem with, but then I realized maybe he was talking about the virtual keyboard and true enough the virtual keyboard does not appear when you tap the icon in landscape mode for opera
The second one is after I play a video file, the backlight doesn't automatically turn off, something keeps prompting the backlight to keep lighting up, try using the keylock and you'll know what I mean. I can't keep the media player running in the back ground if I want the backlight to turn off, so i'd kill it in task manager, and sometimes after killing it, the backlight still doesn't turn off, then I'd have to open media player(without having to play the video again) and kill it again. This would fix the backlight bug
The million dollar question is: Has anyone else experienced this?

@corrado85
I suggest you throw away the supplied earbuds and buy a W-based earphone (the one that allows you to plugin your favorite pair of headphones) and use your own headphones. For me, I use my Creative Zen's headphones attached to it.
Perfectly loud and bass-ful

Tell me about it. I updated my firmware last night and was very happy with the results. The problem was, I wasn't woken up this morning. Something that has never happened before.
I thought I must have been really tired and slept through but after seeing your post, I tested again just now. Its really low!!!!
Gutted, looks like I'll need to buy another alarm clock but this pisses me off because I use the alarm when I travel - a lot!!!

The customized alarm volume is insanely low, I agree with everyone, and therefore I deem this particular feature absolutely uselss since the default alarm is not enough to wake me up. This sucks too, too bad I can't depend on my P990 for wake up calls, I usually sleep late and have to wake up early. It can't be good for business and can't be the perfect business tool without an alarm (it's not an alarm to me, just something that makes a bit of a sound). And I hope they provide an option to disable increasing sound because it defeats the purpose of an alarm which is to wake you up, not blend into whatever dream you might be having when the alarm sounds
