don't know much about tomtom but I've been using Garmin for more than 10 years and currently have the
Nuvi 670
This already has a bluetooth hands free device which downloads your phonebook from the phone and gives you your contact list on screen. you can also dial out any of the contact numbers found in the POI's (restaurants etc)
So I guess its a logical step to incoporate the mobile phone itself into the device, though probably I prefer it the way I have it now, especially as you're going to need to switch your sim from phnoe to gps, or have one sim specifically for the gps
They did a pretty reasonable job adding palm into their GPS so I expect this will work well too

N95 does the job fine, 5mpx cam, GPS, music player and it's a phone.

I am quite certain that I had a Garmin phone before and it was a very nice handset indeed. Really hoping on Garmin bringing in their GPS software to our mobile phones.

Edit: Yes I was right they brought out the Nav Talk in selected countries a few years back. Now i remember why i was confused whether it was a phone, it looks almost identical to their respective GPS line from the time.
For anyone who has never seen the phone before:
