> N95 - Better on O2 or T-Mobile?
Bookmark topic
I am about to upgarade to an N95 (I think so anyway, features outweigh battery issues for the moment) and like the look of the Flext 35 contract on T-Mobile. I am currently on O2 and the data options with Web and Walk are v appealing. I have a couple of questions though:
1.) Has anyone any experience of branding on the T-Mobile N95?
2.) Has anyone any knowledgae of any forthcoming O2 data tarriffs similar to 3's unlimited one and T-Mob's Web and Walk?
3.) Can I de-brand an N95 to the generic software if I buy from T-Mob?
4.) Anyone any experience of T-Mobile 3G in Northern Ireland?
5.) If I buy on O2, who is giving the best sales package, O2 direct or CPW? Saw some people getting maps and 1gb cards included. DO T-Mob match these?
I know there are a few questions there but any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks dudes!

right, just searched and found answer to this one
1.) Has anyone any experience of branding on the T-Mobile N95?
see here where it says it is minimal, but the phone *will* be locked

Great, thanks Masseur. Sounds promising.
I really want to stay with O2 for their coverage but feel it may be time to say goodbye as the data tarriffs are just too tempting. No point having all that browser and GPS download loveliness without being able to use it properly!

I've got one on 02 - there is no branding except the start up and shut down screens and there is an 02 theme which I rather like but it can be changed to another. The phone is unlocked to any network and came with a 1gb card bundled.
T-mobile is locked and cannot be unlocked until 3 months later - no good for me as I travel a bit and need to use foreign sim cards the 02 one was more attractive as it was unlocked!

Did you go direct with O2 or did you get it through another source e.g. Carphone Warehouse? How come it has a 3 month wait on it? How did you find out?
Also did O2 give you the maps included instead of having to download all of them? CPW were offering a deal with 3 years turn by turn guidance for the GPS as well. Anyone had this?

I went with an 02 store. The UK maps were pre-loaded on the supplied 1GB card. Stock is limited but I managed to pick up the last one
Sat nav is not included in the price it's £49.99 for 3 years - you need to pay Nokia directly. Using GPS and the Maps is free (search for restaurants etc) you only have to pay for route guidance.
Hope this helps...
