> Can EDGE capability be flashed into K800?

Hi All,
I searched and didn't see such a question asked, maybe because it's ridiculous
My questions is: Can my K800 be flashed, say, with a K790a firmware to enable EDGE capability? Or is there a special EDGE radio hardware unit in the K790a that makes EDGE possible (and therefore what I'm asking about pointless)?
I'm in the United States on T-Mobile, so the GPRS is just painfully slow. If flashing to get EDGE won't really solve the issue, I'll just post the phone for sale.
And yes, I know I shouldn't have bought this phone on the assumption that U.S. 3G frequencies would actually be the same as everywhere else in the world, so please, no flames are necessary.

Edge is not part of the firmware, so you cannot flash it. Edge is part of the hardware.

Thanks for the rapid response! I suppose I'll post the K800 for sale, then either get the K790a...or wait for the Z750i. I just hope a future K model will work with U.S. 3G, because I much prefer the professional look of the K line!
