With the high amount of trouble being caused by phones becoming blocked especially after a sale is the consumer always at fault?
The reason i bring this up is MY W810i which i have had for nearly 12 months DIRECT from o2 has now been blocked!! why i am not sure as i haven't contacted o2 yet!
But this behaviour from the networks is causing havoc, evidence of this is rife even within this forum in cases such as what has happened with rookwise! the blame naturally falls on the seller!
If i had of sold this phone i would be getting the blame and having to sort it out yet clearly i have had no hand in this phone becoming blocked!
Just my little rant, i will update with the response from o2 tomorrow!

the network would not block your phone without any good valid reason, you need to find out, why? and if they have blocked it without a good reason or they made a mistake, then i would ask for some sort of compensation.

I'll rephrase that "what good reason could there be to block someones phone who has never missed a payment or reported there phone as lost, stolen, damaged or otherwise?"

I wonder if someone's reported their phone as lost or stolen, and given the wrong imei number, or there was an input error on O2's side?
There does seem to be an awful lot of blocked phones about at the moment, possibly a lot of insurance scams?

Just goes to show though that it doesn't have to be a scam for a phone to be blocked!
It's a shame the way things are going now!
i have bought a few phones off eBay and never been a victim but theres still time!

@nanu - Yeah . . . looks like that will be a BIG FAULT on their part . . . they should be charged with DUE-compensation . . . in monetary terms I think
I've learned and READ what happened with Rookwise's case . . .
