friends i purchased a new k800i, and as soon as i inserted a m2 card
the phone memory has increased to 66mb
but i read that the phone memory of this phone is 64 mb only
how is this possible??

It's very much possible, when 20 MB shows up as 3 MB, 64 can also show as 66...
jokes apart, some k8 owner can clarify...

Same thing happend with my W900 after it went for a firmware update wen i got it back it said Phone Memory: 475mb bt a W900 comes with 470mb

My K790a came with 70MB of free internal memory. Who knows how much it would have if I deleted all the preloaded content.

Each CDA/Customisation has its own free internal memory. Chinese firmware like APAC has only 68 MB. It's not a big problem.

My K800i says 67MB. Additionally, I have at the moment on the phone memory:
2.3 MB (36 files) in the Music folder
561 KB (14 files) in the Pictures folder
38 KB (1 file) in the Video folder
1.1 MB (5 files) in the Themes folder
5 KB (26 files) in the Web Pages folder
2.7 MB (6 files) in the Games folder
Together with the 67MB free memory, it would be almost 74 MB in total. I wonder where the extra 10 MB came from, virtual memory perhaps ?
I suppose this must be a bug in the firmware, (I'm using R1JG001).
