Hello,

I was looking at this laptop and I quite like it. The price is quite high but if I can claim the VAT back then i'm happy.

I can never trust HP. Last time I got a desktop compuetr and it rebooted on the first day, and it got worse later on and we gave it back.

Yep that is the link, but it has no vista. Its lying

But if it says that it has it, can you not complain and then they will have to offer you a product to almost the same spec. at the same price? or something like that... just mis-advertising is illegal as far as i know!

also, if your happy to pay that much for a laptop - why get a windows one?!? go for a MacBook and run windows vista on it aswell, get the best of both worlds!

edit:!:- look at this - MacBook in the education store on apple store uk:

and MacBooks in the refurb store:

Never used a MacBook and won't even bother. The first time I looked at it, disgusting and way too pricey.

I am going to claim the VAT on the product afetr a few days.
Oh and as for Windows Vista I will try and see if it works.

ahh ok...just they're about the same price as that notebook now. I wouldn't say they're disgusting though - we need to get fatreg over here

And as for whether vista'll work it should do quite well. Meets all the min specs and more. It should also be faster with vista than with xp as vista's designed to work with dualcore cpus whereas xp wasn't - it basically only uses one of them which is...well...kinda stupid if you've bought a dualcore machine!

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/125925 - almost same spec, with vista but smaller hard drive and core2duo hdd so 64bit rather than a coreduo 32bit.
