I'm currently deciding which BT headset to but next Saturday. I can't decide if I should get Motorola's Bluetooth Stereo Headset HT820 or the SE HBH DS970. Don't have any idea which of the two I should get? Opinions on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why not try and listen to some thing with them both and then decide as listening to Music is a very personal thing and what might to be good for one person another may hate.

It seems the DS970 is let down in a couple of areas, namely battery life and range. Both are reported as being minimal. It's good points are caller ID and in ear buds.

I use a Motorola S705 Soundpilot and it takes the good points of the DS970 and improves upon them by having great battery life (8 hours streaming), industry-leading range (100 metres from it's Class 1 Bluetooth) and it is the only stereo Bluetooth I know that not only has a dedicated headphone jack (you can use the supplied in ear headphones, or plug in your own!), but it also has a removable lanyard and a removable clip. You can wear it either around your neck or clip it to your shirt. It's caller display and it;s joystick lights up in the coolest blue glow I've ever seen.

Drawbacks? Callers have reported very poor microphone audio and because of this Motorola has agreed to send me a replacement unit. In 2 weeks the Motorola S9 will be released and I think it will be a good replacement for the old HT820. It is very light and discreet with good battery time and is also waterproof.

I think both the Motorola S9 and the S705 leave the SE DS970 for dead!

Thanks for all the suggestions. It seems I'm now leaning towards purchasing a Motorola BT headset. I saw in brochures what the S705 Soundpilot looks like and unfortunately it won't be available in our country for the next 3 months. I have 5 days to decide what BT headset to get so please keep on pouring in your comments and opinions. The more opinions and comments, the better. Again, thanks to all that has replied so far.

im now considering nokia bh500 since it also allows 'third party' earphones..hehehe.. plus it comes with a bluetooth 2.0 dongle that you can connect to your laptop or car stereo that let's you stream music. can't find a review anywhere though...
