...starts in Valencia tonight NZ time (today in Europe).

http://www.americascup.com/en/

The defender: Alinghi - SUI

The challenging teams eliminated so far:

BMW ORACLE Racing - USA
+39 Challenge - ITA
Team Shosholoza - RSA
Areva Challenge - FRA
Victory Challenge - SWE
Desafío Español 2007 - ESP
Mascalzone Latino - Capitalia Team - ITA
United Internet Team Germany - GER
China Team - CHN

The Louis Vuitton Cup finalists:
- Emirates Team New Zealand - NZL
- Luna Rossa Challenge - ITA

After a bitter disappointment in 2003 Emirates Team NZ will be desperate to win the Cup back. Four-million Kiwi's will be cheering them on...

Anyone else gonna be watching this?

Hmmm... 5 out of 6 race days lost due to light winds. Some say they're racing too early in the season.

Bump!

Any Spanish or Italian yachting fans out there?

Anyone from Valencia wish to comment?

Anyone sure Alinghi will retain the cup?

No kidding!

Does no-one else like yacht racing? BTW Auckland is known as the 'City of Sails'; we really want that America's Cup back downunder.
