Bookmark topic
Today I've discover a new problem on new firmware. Sometimes the total light doesn't off. And if I lock the keypad. Then it goes to off by fading out but after 3 seconds it turn on the light and say, to unlock press side key and again trying to off but it on after 3seconds. And this loop going to running till judgement. These problem only remove by restart the phone. Anybody got the same problem? And anyone success to find not how to stop that?

i think it's because the new firmware tries to shut down programmes to reclaim memory... i didn't have many programmes running at the time...
media player, calendar and messages (i think)...
and since that happened, i keep smp in the background and set it up to close open programmes on flip close, i haven't had any more problems...
the only problem i have is one film i converted (a trailer for dinosaurs 3d from apple) that just refuses to play to the end... hope that helped...

I have the exact same problem, however my one is caused by disconnecting the handsfree kit a couple of time. The backlit will stay on, start to dim but then go to full brightness and do the process over again. I am still on the R3 organiser version so this isn't a new problem.

Other symptom of this problem is when this problem appear, and without key lock, the backlight still active and never goes to off.

mode solve the issue, he said on another topic that:
I noticed that I only get it if I press the back button from video player repeatedly to get to the standby screen. But if I press the back button down just once and hold it down to get to standby, it doesn't happen. Just have to change my habit of pressing the back button. Very doable, but weird.
Many thanks to “mode”, who discover the right cause and solution. Here I just say you can tap back button on video player slow with patient. And keep taping until get back to standby screen, then that problem doesn’t occur. But if you hurry then it’ll back.
