How about HERE? Basically, a Widget is a small app that sits on your desktop so that it's easily accessible/viewable. Usually each Widget serves one primary purpose. I used to have Yahoo Widgets on my notebook, but it slowed my system down. Here's a thread regarding Widgets: Your favourite widgets

Hi all,

Widgets

There is also Widsets another free app from Nokia that runs on most Java phones and is possibly the easiest way of setting up RSS feeds on any phone. Assuming of course you like RSS feeds personally i hate them and would rather just log on to the relevant website. But since neither time constraints or Data usage charges are of any consequence to me that's easy for me to do.

Podcasts

These are either audio or video and are available from a huge range of sources and can be viewed and downloaded to most Pc's and Mac's with the appropriate software. Again Nokia have also released this app for use on some of it's phones. I know it exists for a lot of S60 3rd Edition devices. As i have all the Ricki Gervais on my N93.

"WIDSETS"... Hm... I don't get THAT: any phone that can run that can run operamini...What's the point? It actually got great "reviews" on some mobile sites(do they have a secret bribe-widget???)!!! mystery to me - now, if you actually could embed those "widgets" in the start screen...anything useful...operamini also compresses data much more efficiently, i.e. it's cheaper...
opera claim their opera mobile 9 edition will feature actual widgets!!! Now that could be interesting (considering how nicely 8.65 beta for windows phones performs...)

@boba : your wiki-links are all dead!!! Bad boy!!!
