seen a really good deal with virgin. order a free sim from them and pay £10 per month and you get 300 texts and 300 minutes any network anytime.

any other time i would go along with this and choose this plan but my wife is moving to new york in june with me soon to follow later in the year and i was wondering what is the best network to be on for international texts/international calls from the uk?

i could go with this virgin plan and it would be 20p each text to usa and 20p per minute call to usa but would like to spend as little as possible per month with no monthly contract involved.

hope all that was understandable and made sense and thanks in advance to anybody who can help me out.

best is to get a t-mobile or orange contract.they have free international calls through some acess numbers.o2 also has but im not really sure bout the billing and all.

o2 also have international text bundles.so might be your best bet.and new tarrifs are out in 2 weeks

was looking for a month to month sort of running contract. found so far the vrigin deal and the sim only t mobile deal.

virgin-
£10 per month
300 minutes
300 texts
unused minutes and texts rollover to next month
30p internet access no matter how long your on it for per day
20p to text usa
20p per minute to call usa

t-mobile-
£15 per month
50 minutes
Unlimited internet
20p to text usa
70p per minute to call usa

so what choice is better value for my money?

So its 10quid on virgin for 300mins and 300txts and thats not just for 3 or 6 months? Thats what you pay for as long as your on the contract? Sounds too good to be true

its a month to month contract. you pay through direct debit £10 per month and you get the above. can cancel it at anytime through the website or by phoning.

think its best deal for me and best i have found. also the cheapest so will no doubt go for that option
