It looks like a lot of people have had this problem.
I now have this, when ever i go to the Application or game folder i get an "Operation Failed" error.
Has anyone found a fix?
Some have said that a Re-Flash through wotan works, but i don't want to do that.
I updates to the latest through SEUS and that didn't help at all.
Maybe make an official thread for the "Operation Failed" with people who have solved this problem.

yeah, this happend to me before... i bought my k800i way back august 2006 with a R1CB001 firmware (first retail version firmware). when i made the upgrade to R1ED001 using SEUS, it behaved just like yours: operation failed on both apps and games.
SOLUTION: since i dont have wotan credits and all that jazz, i took my phone to my nearest SE service center to have it reflashed for PhP 500 (approx US$ 11)... turns out there are issues on firmware and EROM compatibilities...
Ever since that service center reflash, i havent encountered any fatal bugs on my phone. I even had my phone upgraded again up to the most current R1JG001 firmware... still going strong and undeterred

This seems to be a common problem. It also happens with w850. Visit

i think i know why... because the w850 slider walkman is based primarily on the k800 cybershot, hence the similarities in screen size, resolution, extra keys above screen, and the metal earpiece and vidcall camera position

I think that the problem is with the firmware.

Its most likely a firmware issue. Some say that R1GB or the one after that(i forgot), fixed the operation failed issue. Check out the
K800 Firmware Overview thread.
