just kidding

i was playing around the other day trying to design a phone i would like to have and i ended up with something like this

-big widescreen display (possibly 480x300)
-normal keypad
-"scrollpads" on the side and the bottom - these replace the joystick and are essentially like a TOUCHPAD on a laptop. for example, when writing an sms or surfing: use the side scrollpad to move the cursor (screen) up and down, and with the bottom scrollpad move it left and right.

not bad... big screen is a good addition to any phone, just as long as it can promise me at least 3 days battery standby time

btw... placing the softkeys on the sides makes ur concept phone look like an Nseries nokia phone... see n70 hehe

why shouldnt sony ericsson steal a nokia idea if it works

and yes, ive noticed that most of the se phones have slightly smaller screen size (than expected) to get a longer battery life...

The only reason I hate ur design is what u have copied from Nokia... This is my personal opinion so plz don't take it seriously... Ur design is good but the reason I love SE from the past so many years and never satisfied with a Nokia, is that SE is different from Nokia...

i didnt intentionally copy the nokia key placement - nokia uses those side keys just for some shortcuts... they too place their softkeys above the numpad

yes, but... this phone wouldn be a touchscreen to keep the price down... hence the scrollpads...
