Hi all
I can't connect to the web via Wifi at the mo and it keeps stating "Remote Server" errors.
However if I use GPRS then it works.
Can anyone help me out on what I need to change to get this bad-boy working properly?
Much appreciated.

Very strange - but at the moment, I can't connect to my Home (Broadband Wireless) or Hotspots etc either.
I can do a search and find them all. Click connect and it says connected.
But then when I try to use the Web browser it comes up with "Remote Server" error messages.
My Web has all the accounts and groups etc set up ok and preferred group as the Wifi ones with priority set to the correct one.
So not sure what settings I need to get to - to change and make the Web browsing work.
Thanks for the thread link for the "Power Save" tip.
I'll try that again when I get home.

No problem mate.
Just tried connecting again at work to a local Wireless point and it states "Connected" in the WLAN page.
Then when I try to open a web page it says" Connection closed by Remote Server"!
Any ideas why anyone?

I am on Cingular US. But I guess this applies to others as well. The home pages setup by the carriers can only be accessed via the GPRS and whatever WAP account they have setup.
But I can browse any web sites regardless if the home page.
I also heard that some carriers do not allow you to use the WEB unless you go with the connections they allow, such as GPRS or WAP.
So is your phone branded?
