I thought this is not possible. I have a K610i and the first time I updated it through the update application integrated in the phone. I had the firmware R1JG001. Today I tried to update with the SE Update service software and it downgraded the firmware to R1GB001. Then I updated like the first time with the phone and the firmware gone back to R1JG001.

Is this normal??

It souldn't be normal but I have had the same problem!!!

I was on R1GB001 and i tried to updae to R1JC002 but it accutally downgraded me to R1ED001... Grrr, makes me so angry!

Any solutions as I now cant get back up to anything above R1ED001?

This is not normal. The problem seems to be with the SEUS database

Try to delete the db folder. And rerun SEUS.

There are softwares such as phone xs, da vinci, etc., that tell you what cid the phone is.
