I have recieved 2 different O2 K800i's in the past week and neither of them will update using the SE software.

It detects the phone correctly, then says installing software to phone. It then jumps from 0% to 98% and says Error updating phone, please start again.

I have tried this on 3 different Windows XP computers. I also have a friend who has the same problem with his girlfriends phone.

Can anyone help?

It's a common symptom of SEUS. Can't figure out precisely why. Try 3rd party flasher like Wotan. Good luck.

I feel cheated that i have to pay for it.

SE think that it has to do with my firewall which is utter rubbish. I have tried it on 2 different networks on 3 different machines and it is the same.

My friend said it worked on his but not his girlfrineds, so it must be to do with the phone.

Yep,

I applied the firmware to mine.. closed the application and then restarted it to update her phone. It always bombs out at 98%.

Both phones had identical firmware to begin with. I've also cleared the download directory for the app, and reinstalled it.. no luck.

I had this problem with my O2 K800i. What happened was that I had a very early K800i firmware, with the CID49 certificate, while the latest firmware was CID52.

I used one Wotan credit to update the CID to CID52, and SEUS worked correctly after that.

Which CID are your handsets on?
