Hi guys,

There seems to be a problem with the recurring alarm on my p990i, i had set 3 alarms at 6:00 , 6:30 and 7:00 am in the morning. When i unchecked the alarms so that it doesn't ring the next day, the dam thing still rings and since then I have been plagued by this alarm bug..... anyone out there have similar problems? please advice of what i can do to get this to work properly.....

Cheers
Tony

Yes, same here. I have to deselect it 3 times before is will actually stop and be deselected.

There is nothing that can be done but waiting for damn SE to fix a basic feature like this. Especially since it goes along with the Low Alarm Bug! Or I would say it isn't a bug at all its plain INCOMPETENCE.

Welcome to the club!!

What i did was make a back up the phone again without the "settings".Did a master reset and restored the contents. But i had to manually put all the settings back...like internet settings, internet bookmarks,bt & wifi settings...etc.It took me 3 hours to get the settings right...but its worth it.No more irritating alarms every morning.
And i wont use the alarm function till they fix the bug.

I got the same problem before upgrading to the latest FW version. After the FW upgrade I restored all saved datas (including wake up time) and got the same pb anew. So I initialized my p990 ans restored backed up datas but system ones. No pb so far.

I've never used/trusted the Restore function from PC Suite.
Everytime after flashing or master reset or format internal disk, I installed everything all over again.

I encountered this alarm bug since R3B01 (I think).
Today with R5A17, this stupid bug is still there !!!
What are those SE engineers doing!

btw, I need to perform a master reset to get rid of the "unset" alarm.
