> W810i has become slow

Hi,
I am using w810i with 512mb default card. I have been using it for 5 months now and have not installed any themes or softwares. I am have just loaded mp3s and taken many snaps. My phone has become very slow and its a pain to open a message also. There is still arnd 20mb internal memory free and arnd 100 mb of space in memory stick.
Kindly tell me what should be done to make it fast.

maybe u should make afw upgrade... on its own, a fone doesnt get slower and the mem stick isnt the problem either imo. used 2 gb card in it, it was pretty fast.

back up all the data you have in your memory card, format it and then check if your phone's performance.

i think it's cos' you got too much messages and files on the phone. it's natural for the phone to slow down a bit when scrolling through lots of files i think. happens on my k800.
anyways, i don't think that you should do a master reset. maybe a firmware update would be better, plus if you do it through SEUS then it doesn't wipe your data.
but if you insist on resetting the phone, go to the settings menu, it should be on the bottom of the first tab. the code is '0000'. to go to the service menu, press > *

Yeah - there was a similar thread re. W810 just a couple of days ago...get rid of unnecessary texts (anyhow, are they on card or on ph.memory?), organise your songs and folders in sub-folders and playlists of 10-15 max... Dito photos etc... See if that helps - otherwise you might do a reset/flash just to end up with the same problem (even for dewsktops it's recommende to keep foldercontents, i.e. number of files per folder', at 10-15 max to keep a healthy speed... Consider how much less powerful your phone is!!!

i don't think it's a matter of firmware, i'm on the latest and yet it would happen if i have too many sms or files on my phone. sound advice there...
