> Restoring Backups after SEUS update

Since I had my P990 reflashed by SEunlock I have not done a SEUS update but I now have a lot of additional folders for mail and SMS are these restored after a SEUS update?

agree, it takes backup ok (looks like), when trying to restore it doesnt work, tried at both last FM updates

So if the backup and restore using SEUS doesn't work properly, which it most certainly doesn't, what does everyone use for backup and recovery during/after a firmware update???

When firmware changes... just update using SEUS, then resync with Outlook to get contacts etc. autodownload MMS,Internet setting from Web and re-enter email settitng manually again. (yess know it is a pain, but a crashing phone is even more of a pain.)

I always to a restore without problems. Remember to do a backup just before the update, and not use an old backup on restore.

Every time I do a restore I lose several bits of software, multiple settings on the phone (like the order for my contacts), and the data for third party apps (like the licences and past game data for Backgammon)
So either Backup doesn't back everything up or restore just doesn't bother, either way is sucks and sucks hard - I'm just amazed that with a situation this back no-one has created a better third party app to do the job properly - or have I missed something??
