i have sky broadband and whenever i try toconnect to the network with my psp it says:
A connection error has occured.
The attempt to obtain the IP address times out.
I think this is to do with the security on out wireless connection. Anyone know what i can do?

i have the netgear dg834g, with WPA-PSK security and my psp works fine with it.
the sky one is a rebranded netgear dg834gt. try pulling the power of the router out for 30 seconds or so and see if it works then.
if it still doesnt work, try deleting the connection from the PSP's network configuration under settings, and then set it up again.

type 192.168.0.1, then at the login screen enter admin for the username, and sky for the password. navigate to wireless settings, then about 1/2 way down the page, you should see a box that says 'Setup Access List', click it and see if the box labeled 'Turn access control on' is ticked. if so, you will need to add the PSP's Mac address. you can find the mac address by navigating to "System Settings" Then navigate to "System Information". and make note of your MAC address.
then enter it into the add a new station manually boxes. it should work now

I have a similar problem with my sky broadband box but its with the wifi on my N95 and not my psp. when you went to 192.168.0.1 how do you know what username and password to use?
Also does your sky router get very hot?

my netgear dg834g gets warm, but not to hot.
the username & password for the router is admin (username) and sky for the password.
