> K700 and signal problems
Bookmark topic
Hi guys,
I'm not a new SE phone's user, so don't treat me like a newbie
First off, today I bought second-hand K700 via auction site.
It looks quite good, some places are dirty, but it seems to work fine.
Now's the problem. The phone has O2 branding firmware and has damaged joystick, so I can't find the version of the firmware. Doesn't matter, until I found that there is no signal and it says "No network" or "SOS only".
I switched my SIM card to other phone (some old Sendo

) and the signal was very good.
I went outside and tested the signal and it started to work (2-3 bars), but when I go home it still works bad.
I'm from Poland, so maybe it's a firmware matter? Will it help if I change the firmware and unbrand it from O2? In my Poland I've got other operators, so...?
Anyway, is there any way to turn service menu without using joystick?

Could be an aerial problem with the phone - one of the contacts could be dirty, or possible snapped off, but you'd need to take the phone apart to check this. Either that or the aerial (which is a 'stick-on' one I believe has been damaged and needs replacing.

It's 'Cześć'
I bought it knowing it has damaged joystick, the seller assured me it's working fine.
I'll clean the phone myself later, maybe something is wrong inside - not connected.
I wanted to borrow the service cable from my friend, but no good - have to wait after the holiday in Poland.
I'm from Rzeszów, but I was born in Silesia region.
