Right, i've now Removed the Spare silver 8800 housing, sirocco leather pouch and sirocco batteries from the sale. So what you see in the pictures is what you get.

Here i'm selling a Black Nokia 8800

I fitted the new black cover today 30/04/07 so it's brand new, but when I fitted it the backlight stopped working. An easy fix, i'm guessing I left something disconnected, but I just don't have the time or patience. Apart from the light, everything else works 100%

The phone comes fully boxed with:

I've fixed a few 8800's before, all the same way, by changing the orange ribbon inside connecting the motherboard to the back plastic part of the housing.

I had an 8800 which the backlight didn't work, earpiece didn't work (speakerphone was fine), it wouldn't charge and it showed it was in "hands free/car mode". All were fixed in one go by changing this ribbon. It's about £10 on eBay.

I assumed this was the fault, as I didn't remove the screen or the ribbon behind it when changing the housing, only the one I mentioned above, to take off the motherboard.

I can sell the silver housing separately if you want however there are signs of wear on it (scratches etc.) So it will be relatively cheap.

If anyone has a new black sirocco for sale i'll offer this package plus £150.

Just to confirm does it all work 100% apart from the light problem.

All buttons etc, as you changed the housing? Do they work perfectly.

Edit: IS IT A GENUINE COVER? Not a cheap one?
