Hi.just a question that why SE donot use the dpad in new hand sets as it used in w810,w550 instead of joystick.because joystick dies on us.always causing trouble after 3,4 months of use.whats the advantage of using the joystick instead of dpad???

If you mean a joystick, then NO, its because joysticks are the ones that dies faster.
Keys live much longer imo.

I meant why they use joy sticks which die so easily and why not use the dpad which they used in w550 and w810i

Yes.you are right.but k790,k800 and k810 have joystick.many people like them.but do not buy because they know joystick will bring them trouble.even in low end sets like jseries.SE use joystick which is really cheap and die very soon

many people prefer joysticks and don't have longetivity issues with them. Myself I've never had any of my phones joysticks die, yet a friend always kills his prematurely. Possibly those who do a lot of gaming, texting, or walkman using the joystick run into early problems with the joysticks, I dunno but I know I've never had a problem. Some people also use more pressure on the joystick than others which doesn't help either. So it's horses for course really.
So those of us who prefer joysticks would be left out if SE went all d-pad.
You have a choice, dpad on some phones, joystick on others. SE are just listening to the market here. They have done their research and realise that not all joystick users are dissatisfied. Personally I'm glad SE don't change something on the whole product line just because some people complain about it. They do their homework and make sure they aren't ditching a llegitimate market segment before they change anything, but they also attempt to provide something for those who do want change. That's why you see SE moving to dpads with the W810 and others, but sticking with joysticks on the more camera orientated phones.

I had thought that almost every one have trouble with the joystick , but as you pay you never had problem with it.trust me I use it very softhands and i have killed k700 and k750 ones.so according to my point of view dpad is MORE SAFE solution
