Yes! That was my first reaction this morning.
The day before yesterday me and a few friends where wandering in the woods, and I dropped (after some stupid decisions) myself and my K550i which was lying in my pocket into the water.
After have got myself out of the water I took out my mobile and pushed a button to see if it still was alive, the screen lit up and froze with a blank white screen.
I immediately removed the battery and dried the phone the best I could, and when I reached civilization two ours later I soaked it in distilled water and I let it dry with a hair-drier for approximately 3-4 hours, and then I let it dry by its own.
Now 1,5 day later I put in the battery an turned it on, JIPPIE!
It works flawless, to bad that every moisture indicator in the phone has turned red so I guess I will have some problems with the warranty later on.
The reason I wrote this is simple, there is hope for every wet phone out there

Powering on can be a mistake but you survived it o.k. Taking the time to be sure the phone is fully dried is key. Glad your K550i is fine. Although SE calls it a "mid-range" phone it's still not cheap!

The good thing about it that it was not a SALT water as it would slowly KILL the phone after even "good working" moments after you dried it up.

lol i used to talk in the shower with my old siemens a35 back in the day!never gave a single problem but then again it never had a single feature either!!!if anyone makes a water resistant phone it's usually too big and looks fugly...i'm sure they can make a slim water resistant phone with good features?
