I successfully upgraded my SE M600 to the latest firmware on 14/04/2007. The has been some stability improvement how ever there's still alot of memory leaks I suspect! Now using Swiss M Pro and ProcInfo it's possible to see most of the consumed amounts of RAM for each process, and interestingly they never grossly add up to the expected value. At the times when memory is very low the problem of automatic shut down of applications that I used to experience still occur! e.g. when Operamini is in use and the navigation cache is set to Memory stick, any other Programme whether Java, in-built or installed SIS will cause the rest to shut down and vise vasa. The terrible bit is persistent storage(suspend-to-disk) or recovery(resume) are not available on this UIQ3.0 Symbian 9.0 device. The terrible event occurs sometimes on recieving/openning SMS or push e-mail or OTA device object transfers! Has anyone else seen this? I had to retype this post on my lovely M600!!
