I don't think SE has any plans to support the Mac platform. Until then we have to rely on third party developers for this kind of thing. An iSync plugin is available for around $2 from
Feisar. I'm going to give it a try at some point but I haven't yet.

These plugins are as near as you will get to official Sony Ericsson plugins, as they have been developed with assistance from Sony Ericsson themselves. (SE have provided technical info and tested the plugins in the past).
Sony Ericsson chose to demonstrate the Feisar iSync Plugins on their stand at the recent CeBIT 2007 Trade Fair in Germany.

@JoolsG4:
Nice job with the plugins! We depend on developers like you for the features lacking out of the box. I'm encouraged that SE worked with you do create these. I thought they were striclty hands off.

Thank you for your answer. Good work! How about the Symbian phones like the new P700, will there be some plugin created?

Unfortunatley, none of the new Symbian Sony Ericsson phones can be supported until Apple updates iSync.
So far, it doesn't look like they're going to, even in 10.5

@JoolsG4
I understand what you are saying but does that mean that they did supply them for Nokia?
If not then how have Nokia managed to develop and release isync plug ins?
If you know i would be interested to hear.

The phones for which Nokia made iSync plugins use a syncing method already implemented in iSync so Phone Plugins are quite easy to create for these particular models.
The newer Symbian-based Sony Ericsson phones do not using a method of syncing already implemented in iSync (a different variation of SyncML). Therefore Apple needs to add this method to iSync, before Phone Plugins can be created.
That's why I'm able to create Phone Plugins for all non-Symbian Sony Ericsson phones (with the relevant technical info from SE).

Hi JoolsG4,
That is what i had heard previously which sounds more like SE either need to use a supported protocol, as every one else seems able to or write it them selves. I can't really see how or why it is down to Apple to support SE smart phones as seeing how few they sell, just how many Mac users are there that are also SE smart phones users? to justify Apples expense.
As that would mean Apple would be responsible for implementing all the protocols of SyncML that every device manufacturer chose to launch. I really think it is for the device manufacturer to do not Apple. Seeing as they were more than happy to do it with you for all the models mentioned, how come not their Flagship Devices UIQ3 very strange if you ask me especially as it was announced in the P990 White Paper as having isync support.

Well, as you are probably aware, earlier P-series phones were supported by iSync. These models used something called "OBEX SyncML Client" and (the old way) "OBEX IrMC Sync Server" for syncing, which was installed in the phone.
But for the release of the P990, M600 and W950 phones, Sony Ericsson removed these methods from the phones, and switched to a newer (better?) SyncML method called "m-router" - which Apple have not yet added to iSync (at least for Sony Ericsson phones).
