I have been running my p990i from past 7 days and today is the 8th day running. my ram is varying between 7.5 to 9 mb max. at time i have seen it going down to 2.5 mb too. my camera crashes while taking more then 4 to 5 shots. i have 62 apps loaded in it. and web, media player and messaging most of the time. i wud love to here from other if they have face any thing with a span of higher uptime.

i have no problems w/ my p990i.

mainly because i PREFER to do a fresh restart every other day. it makes me feel better lol.


I run anything usually from opera mini, to the web browser, camera, mp3, im+, video player and i have no probs.

mine is 11 days with 8MB of RAM (hard use) and no problems!!

Do you mean you have had your P990 for 8 days so far from buying it or you have been using it for 8 days without charging it?

Since I updated last April 10 (r5a17), I never had a restart. Level 3 memory reclaim still gives me 11.3mb constantly and remains at 10.2mb after a few mins of use(all non system apps killed). Supposedly had 14 days on status screen but was not able to take a screenie coz a rogue app crashed(expected).

Im a heavy user, 4 opera pages w/ music on, document editing, and get around 150+ msgs a day. I take pics and record our performances(audio).

are you saying that since 10 april and you have not had any restart and you have more than 10MB?

As i said in my post... i had to restart my phone 3 days ago due to an app i tried which crashed. Before that, i had 14 days w/o restart showing in smp. I was sort of goin for a record, hehehe. I should have taken a screenshot.... silly me

I can take a pic of my ram tho which is still at 11mb even after 3 days. Some ppl i see here have a memory leak, as in ram really depleting. As far as i remember during those 14 days i always had ram above 10mb when all apps are killed.

edit: oh.. when i said no restart since april 10, i meant no restart caused by an app. but i did restart my phone a few times after i updated.

the restart i had 3 days ago was caused by an app that had to be restarted after install.

20 days 21 hours so far

5 MB Free RAM, I only have SM "Free"

I only have 4 installed applications and I do not use them that much,and no internet usage.

Basically I use the phone as a "phone", as a place to store notes "I basically bought the phone for the QWERTY keyboard" and some times as a camera.

and therefore it does not crash ...

Mine went on going for three days but then I had to restart due to low memory even if I didn't have any apps opened. The problem is when you use your phone to full (internet, phone, lots of programs, etc) you need t restart it anyway as it is running out of emory after a few days even if you lose down everything. But a very stable phone after the last update.

I have been using the 990i from last 2 and half months. i mean uptime that means keeping the phone up without reboot for 8 days. and regarding without charging running a 990i for 8 days i can only say 'i wish this can happen in reality'
