ok was at friend's bunglow and was totally drunk.. and i went inside the pool and later i realised my p990i was in my pocket..!!

its not working at all now.. what should i do? should i straight first go to SE service center or to a mobile repair shop?

as the warrenty is void what should i tell SE service center... what can i lie to them? i need the phone to run ...anyhow.. my lot of data was there and cant really afford to lose them...

Hi IndianWag,

The first thing to do is to take the battery memory card and Sim out the phone and leave it some where warm to dry out for at least 24-48hrs and see if once dry it will restart. IMO though even if you are lucky the best you can hope for is to be able to retrieve your Data. Unless it was a fresh water pool the chemicals in the pool are not going to be your devices friend and as far as lying to a Service centre goes that is just going to make you look silly as they will see the damage is caused by water or water and chemicals. You may just be lucky and get some use out of your device but i would imagine it's longevity has been severely compromised water and electronic devices just doesn't mix well. Wish i had better news for you but somehow i doubt it.

@indian - Can you take the fascias OUT If so, have the internal parts blown-dry by using a hair dryer . . . not the fiery-heat-temp though . . . just the one that will suffice to remove the remaining water out . . . Good Luck ! Since you warranty will surely be VOIDed here . . . you have no other recourse but to have it serviced in the mobile-repair-shop . . .
