HI people
In the UK most people who take out contracts, will get a handset free of charge, depending on the handset and contract type, or they might have to pay to it, however what is it like in other countrys? is it the same? or do you have to pay quite a lot for your handset if its on contract?

thanks

If I'm not wrong, I think in France you even have to pay €1 instead of being able to get the phone free. Can anyone from France confirm this?

i think we have the best set up here in the UK, where you will get a phone free on a contract tariff, if your on a certain priceplan, or you have to pay a bit for the handset then go on a priceplan.

the biggest con is the 18 month contracts. phones all have a 12 month warrenty, and tend to get worn out in that time. so 18 month and 24 month contracts are crazy.

i wonder if any other countrys offer shorter contracts like 6 and 9 month ones???

And since the K800, offer 24Months Manufacturers Warranty(check your manuals!)

(As have Nokia since 8800/Nseries, I can't remember which)
