> problem with internet speed

what causes internet speed to slow down. its faster on the laptop but when with pc it gets very slow. speed of up 230kbps reduces to 3-10kbps. could it be a problem with the pc?

processor etc.

Specs won't decrease it this much, maybe some virus etc. which is eating up your bandwidth...

What do you connect through? If it's a LAN conection, as I said before, the problem may lie with the networking controller.
