> handset broken out of the box?

just got a t68i its been on charge for a couple of hours still no battery symbol on the display and it won't turn on whilst its charging. when I try to turn it on it just beeps for a second the display lights then it just goes off. is this normal?!
every other phone I've had I've been able to set it up whilst its on its first charge but this one won't power up whilst its charging. also the same thing happens if I disconnect the charger, surely the battery should have some charge after a few hours?......
so what do you reckon? will I be taking this back to the shop tomorrow?

Thats a bit weird, after a couple hours of charge you should be at least be able to turn the phone on. Sounds like a faulty phone to me.

No doubt it is faulty. I had the same problem with the phone and took it back to the shop next day, only to be told that it was out of stock until the following week (mine was apparently the last handset in stock at that shop...)

back to the bleedin shop it is......
first phone that's ever let me down. not an auspicious start.
