Hey all
looks like orange have reliesed a update. Just been on seus and it said update available so now backing my phone up then will try it. Will report back when i have done it.

Let us know what software versions are now on there!
Its odd as Orange told me on the phone that they were not going to release anymore updates for the P990i other than the original firmware from Sept 06.
I'm booked in for debranding tomorrow anyway

My phone was orange branded, I couldn't wait for the new update and the sidebar was pissing me off so I debranded. Let me know of the changes.

ok now finished updating and first things i have noticed
now when connecting to phone to the cradle it now asks for phone mode or file transfer.
rss feeds has also been added.
when putting the numbers in for my pin code are larger than before (rubbish information i know)
now going to restore my files etc

The firmware is still not the latest.....
Latest ORGANISER is R5A17
Does the phone still have the orange sidebar?

Could someone explain this to a noob?
If orange are releasing firmware updates, does this mean that updated Orange P990s will be as stable as unbranded ones? Will Orange branded phones be updated anywhere near as regularly as unbranded ones?
