Ok this has been driving me nuts for some time.
I don't know, maybe it's me ...

I made changes to my memory stick MP3 folder using Windows Explorer.
Now, when I list the Artists through the Walman player on my phone,
the changes aren't reflected.

For example,
It displays an "ACDC" folder as well as an "AC-DC" folder.
In reality when you look either through File Manager on
the phone, OR Windows Explorer only "ACDC" exists (although
"AC-DC" did exist at one time but I deleted it)

I have no play lists defined.

This happens with mutiple folders.
I copied everything off the memory stick,
formatted it, and copied everything back.
No change !

What am I missing ??

Part of the mp3 coding includes the details of the artist, track name etc. It is probably picking the album details up from the tracks.

organize them by folder just for your easy management, but you have to configure each track with the artist, songname and track number if you want the phone to recognize each one of them and arrange them in order. by album and artist.

iTunes does the job and I think it's easier.
