Hi,

A friends dog got hold of my phone when I wasn't looking and has cracked the screen with its teeth. I have ordered a new phone but while I am waiting for it I cannot see text messages. I know a couple have arrived so was hoping to forward them onto my friends mobile. Obviously doing this without being able to see the screen isn't easy.

I have found the demo phone to try on SE's website which gets me most of the keypresses but as there are no messages in the demo inbox I cannot edit and forward a test message to check all the keystrokes.

I will attempt as many as i can below but if anyone with a W810i could check whether I am on the right track and complete the keys I would be grateful;

>Menu (Goes to menu)
>Centre Button (enters messages)
>Down Arrow (selects Inbox)
>Centre Button (enters inbox)
>Centre button (enter most recent text message)
------------------------(Now is where I am unsure and trying from memory)
??Top Right Screen Select Key (More??)
??Down button (selects Edit??)
??Centre button (enter edit message)
??Top Left Screen Select Key (Send/Forward??)
??Top Left Screen Select Key (Select Enter phone number??)
>>Enter number of friend
??Top Left Screen Select Key (Send??)
??Top Left Screen Select Key (Confirm Send??)
---------------------------

If anyone can help me fill in the area I am unsure about that would be great.

Thanks

Rich

Thanks a lot mate, that worked perfectly.

Unfortunately the texts weren't that interesting!! At least I know how to do it now until my new phone arrives.

This reminds me of the time when I flung my k500 at the wall in anger...

The phone's body was intact (I mean i just had to reassemble the battery etc) but the screen got really warped and cracked......

for two months i was doing just that - forwarding sms to my whoever was next to me and reading it from their mobile !!

now everything is back in order though it cost me INR 2600...
